01 · Five attachments and their wavelengths
The following specifications come from the source material for this article, which refers to the STIMLIGHT_002 manual (2018). Check them against the manual supplied with your model; package contents and accessories may differ.
| Attachment | Wavelength | Spectral region |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | 465 nm | Visible light |
| Green | 525 nm | Visible light |
| Yellow | 592 nm | Visible light |
| Red | 625 nm | Visible light |
| Infrared | 850 nm | Near-infrared light |
Choose the attachment according to its intended use and the manufacturer's instructions. Colour alone does not determine suitability for a particular diagnosis.
The infrared attachment is explained in more detail in a separate article about 850 nm.

| Mode | Light output pattern |
|---|---|
| 2 Hz | The light pulses approximately twice per second. |
| 20 Hz | The light pulses approximately twenty times per second. |
| Continuous light | The light remains on without interruption. |
03 · Step-by-step instructions
- Read the manual. Check the restrictions on use and the condition of the device, power supply and accessories.
- Choose an attachment. Fit or replace it using the procedure specified by the manufacturer.
- Prepare your skin. It should be clean and dry.
- Position the device. Direct the light as instructed and maintain the distance specified for the particular attachment. This guide does not prescribe a universal distance for all versions.
- Select the mode and time. Use the settings specified for that attachment.
- Protect your eyes. Do not shine the light directly into your eyes. When using it near the eyes, follow the instructions for the protective goggles supplied.
- Switch the device off after use and clean it according to the manual.
If you experience an unpleasant reaction or your health worsens, stop using the device and seek professional advice as appropriate.
↑ Back to article contents04 · How long should an application last?
Choose the application time according to the manual for your specific model, attachment and mode. Do not automatically use a time recommended for another device or attachment. This article does not prescribe a single duration for all models.
05 · Restrictions and safety instructions
Before use, read the full list of restrictions in your model's manual. The following overview comes from the original source material for this article, is not exhaustive and does not replace the manufacturer's instructions. If the manual prohibits a use, a consultation alone does not override that prohibition.
When to seek advice before use
- If you take medicines that cause sensitivity to light.
- During pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- If you have a health condition or are unsure whether an area is suitable for application.
Where and when not to use the device
- Directly into the eyes.
- Over the thyroid gland if you have thyroid disease, or over a fresh scar following thyroid surgery.
- Over a known or suspected tumour.
- Over an acute abscess or an encapsulated collection of pus.
- When you have a fever.
- In pulsed mode around the head or neck of someone with epilepsy.
This series presents Stimlight as a home light device for cosmetic and wellness care. The article does not prescribe treatment or assign particular colours to diagnoses.
↑ Back to article contents06 · Cleaning, storage and checks
After use, follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning the attachment and disconnecting the device. Do not use cleaning methods or products that the manual does not permit. Keep the device dry and protected from damage before storing it.
Before the next use
Check the attachment and power supply for visible damage. If the device malfunctions, do not use it; contact the seller.
When sharing within a household
Every user should understand the manual and their own restrictions on use. Do not automatically reuse the previous settings.
07 · Frequently asked questions
Can I choose an attachment based on a diagnosis?
This article does not assign colours to particular conditions. Follow the device's intended purpose and manual; health concerns require professional assessment.
Is 20 Hz stronger than 2 Hz?
These values describe the number of pulses per second. On their own, they do not indicate the total light dose or the expected result.
Can I place the attachment directly on my skin?
Maintain the distance specified for the particular attachment in your model's manual. Do not assume contact use is permitted unless the manufacturer explicitly states this.
What if my manual specifies different times?
The manual for your particular model takes precedence. If there is a discrepancy or anything is unclear, confirm the correct procedure with the seller.
Where can I find the application time for the infrared attachment?
In the instructions for the infrared attachment and your particular model. The table in this article lists wavelengths, not application times. If no time is given, check with the seller before use.
Can I extend an application if I cannot feel any warmth?
Not on the basis of that sensation alone. Follow the time specified in the manual; perceived warmth is not a universal measure of light dose.
Do I need conductive gel when using Stimlight?
Conductive gel intended for galvanic or ultrasound devices is not automatically suitable here. Prepare your skin according to the Stimlight manual; the procedure described here assumes clean, dry skin.
Why does the infrared attachment not glow like the red one?
Light at a wavelength of 850 nm is outside the visible spectrum. Do not assess its operation by looking into the attachment. Use the checking procedure in the manual and contact the seller if in doubt.
Should I use all five attachments in sequence?
Not automatically. Having five attachments does not mean you should use them all during a single session. Follow the manual when choosing or combining attachments and deciding how often to use the device.
What should I do if I feel burning or have an unpleasant reaction?
Switch the device off and stop using it. Do not continue by extending the time or changing the colour. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
08 · Sources and further reading
The original source material for this article refers to the STIMLIGHT_002 manual (2018). The original manual is not included in this article, so the specifications given here do not constitute independent verification of a particular device. The technical overview concerns the version described; it does not confirm that all current models have identical specifications. The manual supplied with your device takes precedence.
If your manual is missing or the specifications do not match, ask the seller for the correct document for your model.
