Quick rule: Move the treatment head gently over the skin and keep the area sufficiently moist when using contact modes. Follow the instructions supplied with your particular device.
The menu takes you to the selected section. Click its heading to expand it; the first section is open.
Before first use
Read the instructions supplied with the device. Fully charge it before first use as directed by the manufacturer; the manual specifies approximately four hours of charging. Check the treatment head and power supply for damage.
- Remove make-up and cleanse your skin as usual.
- Remove jewellery from the treatment area.
- Select the mode and settings according to the manual. If the mode allows you to adjust the intensity, start with the lowest suitable setting.
- For contact modes, apply a suitable product as directed in the manual.
Which product should you use?
Suitable
For ultrasound, IN and vibration massage, use enough gel or concentrate intended for use with this device. The manual describes hyaluronic acid gels and concentrates; the presence of hyaluronic acid alone does not establish that any serum is compatible. For CLEAN, the manual allows the skin, treatment head or attached cotton pad to be moistened with water or a cleansing toner.
Unsuitable
Do not use the head on dry skin or substitute oil or a thick, greasy cream for conductive gel. Avoid irritating products; stop the treatment if burning or irritation occurs.
How should you move the treatment head?
Use slow, gentle circular movements without pressure on moist skin. Do not hold the head in one place. Avoid the eyeballs and movable eyelids. According to the manual, the device switches off automatically after approximately 10 minutes; this is the programme timer, not a required treatment time for each area.
What do the LiFTmee Ultrasonic programmes mean?
CLEAN · surface cleansing
After removing make-up, moisten the skin or the cotton pad secured with the ring, select CLEAN and move the head gently. Moisten the skin again if it starts to dry. This mode does not replace make-up removal.
IN · use with a skincare product
Apply a suitable hyaluronic acid gel or water-based concentrate, select a low intensity and move the head slowly. Reapply the product as needed. The depth of penetration or the result cannot be determined from the programme name alone.
SONIC · ultrasound
The manufacturer specifies an ultrasound frequency of 3 MHz. Use a suitable gel, keep the head moving and stop if you feel discomfort.
VIBRATION · vibration massage
Keep the contact area sufficiently moist and use gentle pressure. This is a cosmetic massage; it is not intended to treat swelling or circulation disorders.
PHOTON · light mode
The manual lists three colour options: red (630 nm), orange (610 nm) and blue (463 nm). These are the manufacturer's specifications for the settings, not a guarantee of results. Do not direct the light into your eyes.
Only combine modes as permitted in the manual. For first use, select the settings according to the manufacturer's instructions and observe your skin's response.
How often should you use the device?
The manufacturer describes using the combination of IN and ultrasound approximately twice a week. Start gently, follow the instructions supplied with your particular model and take your skin's tolerance into account. A higher intensity or combining all programmes in one day does not guarantee a better result.
- Remove make-up and cleanse your skin.
- Use CLEAN with appropriate moisture if needed.
- Apply a product intended for the contact mode and select IN or SONIC.
- After treatment, clean the device and continue your usual skincare routine.
When should you not use the device?
The manufacturer's manual excludes use in circumstances such as having a pacemaker, pregnancy, cancer, fever or inflammation, bacterial infection or damaged skin, a recent surgical scar (the first three months), certain heart and vascular conditions, and blood clotting disorders. Do not use ultrasound or galvanic current on the eyeballs or other areas excluded by the manual. Read the full list in the instructions supplied with your device.
After an aesthetic procedure (such as fillers, botulinum toxin, laser treatment or a peel), discuss use with the professional who performed the procedure first. Stop the treatment if pain, burning or redness occurs.
Caring for the device
Switch the device off, remove product residue and clean it according to the supplied instructions. Do not immerse the device or power supply in water. Do not use a damaged device, and keep it out of children's reach.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use an ordinary face cream?
For modes requiring contact, use a product specified in the manual, such as a suitable water-based gel; an ordinary greasy cream is not a substitute for conductive gel.
Do I have to use all modes at once?
No. Choose a mode to suit your skincare routine and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Does the automatic shut-off after 10 minutes mean I should treat my skin for 10 minutes?
No. It is the programme timer; adjust the treatment duration according to the manual and your skin's tolerance.
