Heart, blood vessels, blood and brain: omega-3, vitamins and minerals

Nutrient overview

Heart function

EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA combined. In this selection, Rosita Cod Liver Oil provides these fatty acids.

Brain and nervous system

DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA. Magnesium contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system. This does not promise improved memory.

Blood vessels

Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels. This does not mean clearing arteries, lowering blood pressure or treating vascular disease.

Blood formation

Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin. Folate contributes to normal blood formation and vitamin B12 to normal red blood cell formation. Choosing a supplement does not replace assessment of the cause of anaemia.

KingManPro, KINGendoPRO and KINGvascFLEX are compared primarily for their vitamin C and its role in collagen formation for blood vessel function. KINGDHA is included primarily for DHA and normal brain function. These are not four interchangeable products or a combined supplementation plan.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there only six products in this guide?

We have prioritised a smaller, clearer selection with a specific reason for including each product. This is not a ranking of effectiveness. Each card lists selected nutrients and their amounts; also consider the full ingredients, medicines and supplements you already take.

Are these supplements intended to treat disease?

No. Food supplements are not medicines. This guide does not promise treatment of anaemia, heart disease, clotting disorders or memory problems.

What is the difference between iron and liposomal raw material?

For Iron Liposomal, 110 mg of liposomal raw material provides 11 mg of elemental iron. Elemental iron is the relevant amount when comparing iron intake.

When can a heart claim be used for EPA and DHA?

All conditions of the authorised claim must be met. Consumers must be informed that the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA combined. The amount in the stated serving must be documented.

Why is KINGDHA in the brain section?

According to the declared composition, two capsules contain 250 mg DHA. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function under the conditions of the authorised claim.

Can I combine products from different sections?

This selection is not a recommendation to take all products together. Consider the total intake of repeated vitamins, minerals and other ingredients and any contraindications, particularly if you take medicines.

Does a higher percentage of NRV mean a stronger effect?

No. Nutrient reference values help compare nutrient content; they are not therapeutic doses. A higher percentage alone does not demonstrate a greater health benefit.

Legal basis and official sources

Regulation (EU) No 432/2012 – authorised health claims
Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 – claims made on foods

Health claims: what this guide states

Authorised claims Claims are linked to the named nutrients and their conditions of use. The beneficial effect on brain function requires 250 mg DHA daily; the heart claim for EPA and DHA requires the information about a daily intake of 250 mg combined.
On-hold claims We do not use them in this guide. On-hold status does not mean authorisation; any use requires a separate assessment of the applicable transitional conditions.
Ingredients without claims here No heart, blood vessel or brain benefits are attributed here to nattokinase, other enzymes, Q10 or botanical extracts.
Claims we do not use Clearing arteries, dissolving blood clots, treating anaemia, lowering blood pressure, preventing heart attacks or strokes, or improving memory. We do not attribute these effects to the products in this guide.

This is a comparison of options, not a recommendation to take all products together. Consider total nutrient intake from multiple supplements.
