Breath tester for measuring ketones
Ketosis has positive effects on health.
- you can easily burn fat during it and you are not hungry at all, so you can easily resist e.g. the lure of other foods
- has several performance benefits for athletes and can accelerate recovery after exercise
- the production of inflammation in the body is reduced, which ultimately reduces the risk of virtually any chronic disease
- insulin sensitivity is increased, again reducing the risk and / or promoting the treatment of many chronic diseases
- concentration and mental clarity increase
- improves immunity
- increases the body's internal antioxidants (eg glutathione), which promotes the elimination of toxins and slows down aging.
- the formation of so-called ROS (reactive oxygen species), which damage cells and accelerate aging
Keto diet resp. ketone diet
The keto diet, also known as the protein, ketone, protein diet, or cyclic ketogenic diet, is a diet that helps you lose weight faster and burn your own fats.
With conventional reduction diets, the body burns up to 40% of muscle and 60% of fat. However, muscles are the main fat burners and when the diet ends, the metabolism is not able to cope with the same amount of energy in the diet as before the diet and a "yo-yo effect" occurs. Professor Blackburn was able to identify a protein diet, also known as a protein, ketogenic diet or ketodiet. Weight reduction in a protein diet is mainly at the expense of fat stores and muscle mass is maintained. The body is in a state called ketosis.
The device helps us identify the state of ketosis
Ketosis is the body's natural physiological state. It occurs when the body is regularly supplied with sufficient amounts of protein (protein) in the diet and at the same time the intake of carbohydrates and fats is reduced to a minimum. "Ketone bodies" then begin to form in the ketosis. They are created by breaking down their own adipose tissue and the body can use them as a backup source of energy. Ketone bodies have the ability to fully replace carbohydrates from the diet, which are the primary source of human energy.
Several studies have shown that, as a result, there is a loss not only of subcutaneous fat, but also of intestinal or visceral fat that surrounds important organs. There is also an increase in "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood, which has a positive effect on the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Another positive factor is that it reduces the production of insulin, a hormone that breaks down sugars and causes the appetite for sweets, and also improves the body's sensitivity to this hormone by up to 75%, which helps in the treatment and prevention of diabetes.
Ketosis is not accompanied by hunger or bad mood. Vice versa! One feels full of energy and sometimes has a euphoric mood. Ketosis is also a great detoxifying agent. The body also burns settled toxic substances, it simply eliminates everything it does not need. The body enters ketosis after 2-3 days of a protein diet.
Ketodiet may also have a positive effect on some diseases, as many studies have shown, such as prevention of obesity, reduction of the risk of type 2 diabetes, positive effect on tumor growth retardation, cariovascular diseases, improvement of epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, polycystic ovary syndrome or even acne and other diseases.
The device is used for:
- measurement of ketone levels
- ketodiet or ketone diet
- hunger strikes
